Project scope and responsibilities
Hey,
I'm Marcel from CODERAMA and I'm currently looking for an experienced Backup & Recovery Solution Architect to join our team to design and develop enterprise backup and recovery architecture in both on-prem and hybrid environments.
If you have a strong infra background, understand modern backup solutions, and can communicate well with technical teams and management alike, the following information is for you.
What's in store for you:
- design end-to-end backup & recovery architecture for an enterprise environment
- analysis of existing backup solutions and their optimization (performance, security, scaling)
- design and implementation of DR/BC concepts (RPO, RTO, recovery scenarios)
- design and documentation of integrations between systems
- collaboration with infra, security and operations teams
- resolution of complex incidents and troubleshooting at the architectural level
- supporting migrations and upgrades of backup tools
- creating and maintaining architectural and technical documentation
- consultative role in designing solutions and deciding on technical direction
What we expect from you:
Backup technology (core), advanced knowledge of at least one of the following tools:
- Veeam Backup & Replication (architecture, performance tuning, immutable backups, DR scenarios)
- HPE Data Protector (enterprise practice)
- IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) (design and operation of backup solutions)
- Orientation in other backup platforms is a big advantage
Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design end-to-end infra solutions in backup, experience in on-prem infrastructure: VMware vSphere/Hyper-V
- virtualization: VMware vSphere/Hyper-V
- storage: SAN/NAS (NetApp, HPE, Dell EMC preferred)
- operating systems: Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Windows Server
Key soft skills:
- ability to explain technical solutions to a non-technical audience
- analytical and conceptual thinking
- experience in a consulting or architectural role (preferred)
ability to lead technical discussions and make decisions
