Hello,
We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect for our client to join a remote-first team of 13 developers and take responsibility for the design and architecture of solutions for a payment processing platform.
We’re looking for someone who can bridge business requirements with technical design and has strong experience with cloud architecture, API design, and security. As a Solution Architect, you’ll work closely with developers, QA, and the product team to shape the platform’s technical direction.
What can you expect during your day?
Solution Design: Analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into solution designs.
APIs and Integrations: Defining API contracts and OpenAPI specifications, and designing interfaces between internal and external systems.
Architecture: Creating high-level architecture, including system components, integrations, and data flows.
Cloud: Designing AWS infrastructure, including compute, storage, messaging, security, and networking components.
Documentation: Creating technical documentation, sequence diagrams, and activity diagrams.
Technical Validation: Supporting the team in developing proof-of-concept solutions in Java and/or Python.
Security and Compliance: Collaborating on security reviews and threat modeling, and ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS requirements, including tokenization and encryption.
Collaboration: Working closely with developers, QA, and the product team throughout the entire implementation.
What do we expect from you?
At least 5 years of experience in software development and 3 years of experience in a Solution or Technical Architect role.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architectural patterns.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger.
Experience with UML documentation, particularly sequence and activity diagrams.
Practical knowledge of Java and/or Python for creating or reviewing POC solutions.
Experience with PCI-DSS, payment security, tokenization, encryption, and key management.
Familiarity with security processes, such as threat modeling or vulnerability assessment.
Ability to balance technical solutions with business requirements, time, costs, and risks.
Experience in the field of payment processing or FinTech is a major advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to bridge business requirements with technical implementation.
