Project scope and responsibilities
Hello,
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer for our client, who will be involved in the design, development, and automation of modern data solutions in both cloud and on-premises environments.
You’ll bridge business needs with technical solutions and work on data products—from requirements analysis through the implementation of ETL/ELT processes to production deployment and support. The role also involves using AI agents to streamline data and ETL development.
What can you expect?
- Design, implementation, and monitoring of data flows, ETL/ELT processes, and data integrations.
- Analysis of requirements, existing data flows, data lineage, and the impact of changes.
- Design of data models, infrastructure, and scalable data solutions in collaboration with architects and vendors.
- Working with databases, APIs, BI reports, visualizations, and data products.
- Process automation, monitoring, incident resolution, and post-production support.
- Collaboration with analysts, data science teams, business teams, and external partners.
- Creating documentation, technical materials, recommendations, and proposals for process improvements.
- Utilizing agency AI and MCP to accelerate the development of data solutions.
What are we looking for?
- At least 3–4 years of experience in data engineering or data integration.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and ideally Oracle/PL/SQL.
- Python at a minimum intermediate level.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data modeling, and data infrastructure design.
- Experience with both batch and streaming data processing, API integrations, and various data types.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Unix, scripting, and tools such as Jira, Teams, or SharePoint.
- Experience with project management or IT delivery coordination.
- Advanced communicative proficiency in English.
- Experience with agent-based AI, defining skills, and MCP is a major plus.
Project requirements

- At least 4 years of experience as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or in a similar sales role.
- Experience with B2B sales targeting medium-sized and larger companies.
- Experience actively seeking out new business opportunities.
- Experience in sales within the IT sector or a very good understanding of IT services.
- Results-oriented mindset and the ability to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to identify client needs and translate them into specific business opportunities.
- Experience conducting business negotiations.
- Professional communication and a polished demeanor.
- Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
- Fluency in English.
- Location in Žilina or Bratislava, or a willingness to work regularly in one of these locations.
The following are a plus:
- Experience with outsourcing, staff augmentation, or the delivery of IT services.
- Contacts and experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, automotive, e-commerce, or retail.
- An existing network of contacts in the B2B or IT environment.
- Technical education or familiarity with software technologies.&
