Project scope and responsibilities
Hello,
We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer for our client to join an international team and take on responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data solutions across the Azure ecosystem (experience with the Microsoft Fabric platform is a major plus).
We’re looking for someone who finds working with data and people both a calling and a pleasure. As an Azure Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and solution architects to deliver modern data products that provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making.
What can you expect during your day?
- Design and optimization of solutions: Design, implementation, and optimization of advanced data and analytics solutions on the Microsoft Fabric and Azure platforms.
- Modern data platforms: Architecture of data platforms, analytics, and BI solutions using Microsoft Azure and Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, etc.).
- Requirements translation: Transforming business requirements into scalable and secure technical architectures.
- Team support: Leading and supporting implementation teams in deploying and configuring Microsoft Fabric services.
- Reviews and Workshops: Conducting architectural reviews, assessments, and technical workshops for clients.
- Technical Consulting: Providing expert technical support and thought leadership to clients.
- Documentation: Creating technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and design patterns.
- Collaboration: Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures tailored to business needs.
What do we expect from you?
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer specializing in Azure data services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Pipelines, and Dataflows.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and PySpark.
- Thorough understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT methodologies, and data modeling (Kimball / Inmon / Medallion).
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure Storage technologies is a major plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

- At least 4 years of experience as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or in a similar sales role.
- Experience with B2B sales targeting medium-sized and larger companies.
- Experience actively seeking out new business opportunities.
- Experience in sales within the IT sector or a very good understanding of IT services.
- Results-oriented mindset and the ability to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to identify client needs and translate them into specific business opportunities.
- Experience conducting business negotiations.
- Professional communication and a polished demeanor.
- Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
- Fluency in English.
- Location in Žilina or Bratislava, or a willingness to work regularly in one of these locations.
The following are a plus:
- Experience with outsourcing, staff augmentation, or the delivery of IT services.
- Contacts and experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, automotive, e-commerce, or retail.
- An existing network of contacts in the B2B or IT environment.
- Technical education or familiarity with software technologies.&
